Our Mission

KFP’s Counter Violent Extremism (CVE) Department has also proven to be a substantive and effective platform for promoting and enhancing essential values such as tolerance, community cohesion, social inclusion, pluralism, gender equality, and moderate religious perspectives.

We firmly believe that these principles are not only core tenets of a thriving democratic society but also pivotal tools for combating radicalization and extremism in today’s complex world. Furthermore, this dedicated department serves as a vital link between our peace-building initiatives and our CVE efforts, providing a multifaceted approach to fostering understanding and acceptance within diverse communities.

By enhancing the people’s awareness of their basic rights and equipping them with the necessary tools to become passionate advocates for social change, we are empowering individuals to actively participate in creating a more harmonious and inclusive society for all.

Thus, we are not only increasing the community’s resilience by empowering individuals and fostering a sense of unity, but we are also providing the essential groundwork through comprehensive capacity building initiatives within the society.

These initiatives are designed to equip community members with vital skills and knowledge that will enable them to tackle various challenges effectively. Within the broader global agenda for Countering Violent Extremism (CVE), the KFP specifically places a targeted focus on several critical items in response to the unique and complex challenges faced by the northeast region of Nigeria, particularly in Borno State.

This focus is necessary to address the multifaceted issues that have arisen from ongoing conflict, displacement, and socio-economic instability, as we strive to create a safer and more resilient community for all its members.
