Jummai Abdulahi

Jummai Abdulahi is a highly motivated and experienced educator with a strong academic background in English Language and extensive experience across academia and the non-governmental sector. She is a Lecturer at Kashim Ibrahim University, Maiduguri, where she has been serving since 2019.

She is currently pursuing a PhD in English Language at the University of Maiduguri (2025–date). She holds a Master’s degree in English Language from the University of Jos (2022), a Bachelor’s degree in English Language from the University of Maiduguri (2005), an NCE from Kashim Ibrahim College of Education, Maiduguri (1997), and a Diploma in Computer Appreciation from HADCON (2010).

Her professional experience spans over two decades. She previously served as a Lecturer at Kashim Ibrahim College of Education, Maiduguri (2010–2019), a classroom teacher at Yerwa Government Girls Secondary School, Maiduguri (2000–2007), and a part-time Lecturer at HADCON Education Centre, Maiduguri (2004–2010). Beyond formal education, she has worked extensively with development and humanitarian organizations as a Master Trainer in Non-Formal Education with NRC, FHI360, and IRC. She has also served as a Consultant on WASH programmes with Street Child of Nigeria and NRC, and as a Resource Person on Gender-Based Violence and Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (GBV/SEA) with Save the Children through radio awareness programmes.
